Club History

Coedffranc Ladies were formed in time to play games in the 21/22 season initially as a Women’s First team, which was able to hold its own in a competitive league. To grow the club and create a pipeline to its Women’s team, a Juniors (U14) team has been formed and will enter the West Wales Girls League in the 23/24 season.

Ethos and Pathway

Coedffranc offers a fun and supportive environment for Women and Girls focused on helping them achieve their full potential. At the heart of each team is a committed group of players who want to win the right way by giving their all for each other. All are welcome to join this growing club.

Trainings & Matchdays

Training for 23/24 will commence on 19th July, with sessions held on Wednesday between 6pm and 7pm. Summer Training (July to September) utilities the Skewen Park facility (SA10 6DP). From October, the club utilises a full-size, 3G pitch, which is secure, floodlit and offers parking on-site for players and their parents. The Women’s team and Under 14’s train simultaneously, offering a one-club approach whereby support is available and a visible path to the Women’s team for Juniors to aspire to. Prospective players for either U14s (Year 8/Year 9) or the Women’s team may attend this session without prior notice.

Matches are held on the grass pitches at Skewen RFC, The Clubhouse, Tennant Park, Skewen, Neath SA10 6HU. Players can access full changing facilities and a player’s lounge following game.

Goals for 23/24 and beyond

The Women’s team will compete in Division B of the West Wales Ladies League, aiming to finish as high as possible and push for promotion to Division A.

The Juniors (U14) team will be entering the league structure for the first time, playing full pitch, 11-a-side. The goal is to establish the team and compete in league and cup competitions.
